WWII Veteran Beats COVID-19 In Time For 104th Birthday

Meet Major Wooten - who once stormed the beaches of Normandy and now has defeated another enemy - COVID-19.

The former WWII vet tested positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 23rd, and was released from the hospital on Tuesday - one day before his 104th birthday.

Wooten is an institution in his home state of Alabama - when he was hospitalized with heart issues earlier this year, he got a phone call from Alabama coach Nick Saban.

Such a touching story and wishing Mr. Major Wooten the happiest of birthdays!

Do you have any relatives who lived to be 100?  What can we learn from the remaining members of the WWII generation?
